Rock Creek Kings is a DC-based band with Long Island roots, that combines gritty rock n’ roll spirit, sweet folk harmonies and a contemporary pop sensibility in a signature blend of original music that is all their own. Known as “RCK” to their fans, the group masterfully balances melody and structure with a loose, rhythmic feel and an electric drive for improv. Bringing together three established songwriters—Evan Sharess, Jonah Belser, and Erich Collins Carey—RCK emerged from a potent mixture of shameless musical Craigslist posts, DC backroom politics, late night deep city jams, and the never-ending race against time.

Since getting started in early 2017, RCK can be found regularly playing throughout the Northeast US with a heavy presence in the DMV and New York Metro Regions. RCK has been featured at venues including Black Cat and 9:30 Club (DC), Radio Bean (Burlington, VT) and Rockwood Music Hall (NYC; over seven featured shows). In June 2019, Rock Creek Kings claimed a major win, beating 16 semi-finalists, and 4 other live bands to win radio station WEHM’s 2019 Real Band Battle and a slot at the Great South Bay Music Festival. RCK will be releasing their single, “Dusk Fire Lullaby,” on July 14, 2019.
