Bio:

For over forty years, Pat Darienzo has been specializing in side-splitting laughs and jaw-dropping amazement. His unique blend of comedy, magic and audience participation makes events and parties unforgettable and hilarious!

Pat performed his first magic show at the age of twelve. Having since matured (well, physically, at least) he has served as four-time President of the Long Island (NY) Assembly of the Society of American Magicians – The L.I. Mystics, and has appeared at numerous venues in the tri-state region, including local television, comedy clubs, corporate functions, trade shows and private parties. He has performed at blow-out bashes in basements, on boats, in backyards, bars and boardrooms, at block parties, baptisms, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, and at many other places that don’t begin with ‘b’.

As a teen, Pat played an assistant to the magician at the annual Long Island Fair, an authentic recreation of a mid-19th century fair. Wearing shorts, suspenders and a straw hat, Pat worked with the late Professor Lawrence, who portrayed John Henry Anderson, “The Great Wizard of the North”.

Three decades later, Pat assumed the role of “The Great Wizard”, and since 2003 has brought his own humor and magic each year to historical events across Long Island, at such events as the Long Island Fair at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Deepwells Mansion’s Fall Festival in St James, KidsFest in Merrick, the East Hampton Historical Society’s Family Day Fair, and the Port Jefferson Village Charles Dickens Festival.

Pat’s non-period, contemporary comedy magic show has been a featured favorite on live webcasts of Madhouse TV, as well as the theatrical “Parlor of Mystery” at the South Shore Theatre Experience, The LI Performance Festival, Suffolk County’s 2014 Cultural Connection, Cedarhurst Village’s “Concerts Under the Gazebo” and various benefits for Veteran’s organizations.

A graduate of Stand-Up University, Pat has appeared at numerous comedy clubs on Long Island and in New York City, and has developed comedy material that fits into both his stand-up comedy routines and his magic act. As a recent member of the audience wrote “It left the kids laughing, the adults scratching their heads and everyone in stitches”
